In Her Words

In Her Words is a video art piece in which I conducted interviews with seven Iranian women migrants who shared their personal migration stories. Their narratives, expressed in both English and Farsi, reveal the complex challenges of migration—shifts in identity, language barriers, and the deep emotional experiences. Through this work, I invited the audience to reflect on the shared struggles and emotional landscapes faced by many Iranian women migrants. The piece also highlights the expressive power of the Farsi language, showing how it more vividly conveys emotions and memories within a new cultural environment.
